Soooooooo…. What’s going on, internetland?

Things have been pretty crazy in Ankhabar’s world.  Work on the new album has slowed due to life happening, etc.

Was starting to get a little excited beacause some Ankhabar tracks were getting thousands (some at or above 10K) of streams on Spotify! Elated, decided to check with the distributor for royalties, did the math, probably wouldn’t be THAT much, but I would assume it would be something. Would have possibly put a little dent in the money I have been throwing at making my music be availabble on all major streaming platforms; iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, etc.  I’ve spent easily over $2,000 to make this music available, since 2007.

Then, I see this.

Then, I noticed that SONGCAST pulled my debut album, “I’ll Pay Shipping / Airport Musix” (2007) and “Canfour” (2013) from all platforms. I am devastated, they won’t reply to my chats or in the email.  If this was not bad enough, I may not have the master for my debut album, it may be gone forever. 🙁  It seems these were the albums that had the tracks that were getting thousands of streams. Seems highly coincidental.

This feels almost criminal.  It’s like, you finally start to feel like you are getting somewhere, then !BOOM! they pull the rug out from under you.

Funny, No response… stay tuned.  I may need to find a new distributor or actually write them a letter, since there is no phone number and they can’t manage to reply to my chats and emails.
